Sandestin Welcome Center
The newest asset to Sandestin Golf and Beach Resort officially opened on December 15, 2014 and will provide a multitude of services under one roof for resort guests and rental homeowners. The $7.5 million, 40,000 square foot Sandestin Welcome Center is the primary location for Guest Registration, but has also centralized resort operations creating an efficient and convenient experience for all.
“We are so pleased to be working in our new facility as it serves as a billboard for the ‘new Sandestin,’” said Tom Becnel, chairman of Sandestin Investments. “While a convenient focal point for our guests and customers, it also serves as a symbol of our commitment for smart growth and development while enhancing the overall Sandestin experience.”
The three-story Sandestin Welcome Center was designed by Piazza Design Architects of Santa Rosa Beach, Fla. and features a spacious, two-story lobby area with majestic views of Choctawhatchee Bay and a signature water fountain which lights up with flames at night. Those entering the facility will also notice the iconic Sandestin sand dollar imprinted on the lobby floor, a symbol welcoming all to the picturesque Emerald Coast. Guests will also enjoy the latest technology with dynamic touch screen digital displays providing a unique orientation to the 2,400-acre Sandestin Golf and Beach Resort.
A spacious third floor “L” shaped balcony features a decorative gazebo area with amazing views of the bay, marina and the Grand Sandestin – a premier venue soon to be hailed as the best new event location on the Emerald Coast for weddings, receptions, parties, private gatherings, and more.
“We are extremely excited to open the new Welcome Center and create an even better first impression of the resort for our guests and homeowners,” said Mark Hodgdon, Senior Vice President and General Manager of Sandestin Golf and Beach Resort. “We are very proud of what this structure represents and we look forward to welcoming everyone that passes through its doors.”
The new Sandestin Welcome Center is located on the northeast corner of Highway 98 and Sandestin Boulevard, at the main north gate entrance of the resort. While the facility will serve as the main check-in point for guest registration, it will also be the base for multiple resort departments under one roof including: Sandestin Real Estate (SRE), accounting, front office, human resources, rental owner relations, reservations, retail, sales and marketing, and public relations.
