SANDESTIN GOLF AND BEACH RESORT
SUMMARY OF BENEFITS

(Available to all eligible employees working 30 hours or more.)

Paid Time Off

After one year of employment in our Destin, Florida resort you will earn ten (10) days of vacation pay. Additional vacation time is accrued after five (5) years of service and again after fifteen (15) years of service. After one year of service, employees earn four (4) personal days and two (2) sick days. Additionally, employees will receive six (6) paid holidays each year.

Other benefits include Leave of Absence, FMLA Leave, Bereavement Pay, Worker’s Compensation Coverage, Credit Union, etc.

Insurance Benefits

On the first of the month following the completion of a 30 day probationary period, all full-time employees become eligible for group term life insurance. This is paid for entirely by the company. Employees can also enroll for a very affordable voluntary term life insurance policy for themselves and for their dependents. Full-time employees can also enroll in our core health/dental coverage (details will be made available to all full-time employees). This coverage is contributory (paid both by the employee and the company) and it is deducted on a pre-tax basis under Section 125 of the IRS Code (no tax is ever paid on these deductions.)

At the time when full-time employees become eligible for coverage under the policies mentioned above, they will also receive Long Term Disability Coverage for free. This coverage provides them with income protection that replaces up to 50% of their regular pay. Employees may also voluntarily increase that level to 67%.

Additional insurance coverage such as short-term disability, cancer, accident, and universal life are also offered to our full-time employees.

401(K) Retirement Plan

All employees who have completed one year of service (a minimum of 1,000 hours of service) and are at least 21 years of age are eligible to join our 401(k) Retirement Plan. Employees can defer/set aside 2% to 100% of their income pre-tax and the company will match $0.50 for every dollar deferred by the employee up to 6%.

Additional Sandestin Benefits

Eligible employees can receive discounts on room rates at Sandestin.

Employees can enjoy complimentary tennis, green fees with a small cart fee, and bicycle rentals.

Discounted health club access (complimentary if they choose to stay as a guest), retail discounts at Sandestin stores, and food discounts at Sandestin restaurants.

Additionally, many area businesses and attractions offer discounts to Sandestin employees.

Intrawest Benefits

Each season, eligible employees can receive up to five (5) days of complimentary skiing/ snowboarding privileges at any of Intrawest’s amazing mountain resorts.
