Released on Friday,February 15, 2008
Destin, Fla. (Feb. 15, 2008) – Visiting the post office can be as convenient as getting a good cup of Starbucks Coffee or checking out the latest fashions for area residents and visitors to Sandestin Golf and Beach Resort.
The United States Post Office Contract Unit in The Market Shops at Sandestin is now open for business in Suite 25. The hours of operation are Monday through Friday from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., and Saturdays from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. The facility is closed on Sundays and all Federal holidays.
According to the director of commercial property for The Market Shops Rebecca Job, the outlet will provide the majority of services and products that a normal size post office offers, such as stamps, packing supplies and shipping services. In addition, expanded hours will offer patrons more time to mail and ship important documents and items. Daily collection times are 4 p.m. during the week, and 2 p.m. on Saturdays. The mail is then taken directly to Pensacola for processing.
"The on-site post office will bring a tremendous amount of convenient services for shoppers at The Market Shops and our local community, including Sandestin homeowners, merchants and employees," said Job.
