Sandestin Golf and Beach Resort Florida Unveils New Sandestin Wine Festival Website

DESTIN, FL (Feb. 2010) – Sandestin Golf and Beach Resort Florida launches new Sandestin Wine Festival website featuring festival details, ticket sales, wine apps and other helpful information.

The new website, www.sandestinwinefestival.com, provides visitors with user-friendly information and navigation to help them plan for the 24th Annual Sandestin Wine Festival held April 22-25. Everything from the event line-up to accommodation information can be found on the site.

“We redesigned the Sandestin Wine Festival website to create a one-stop shop for those people interested in wine and for individuals planning to attend the event,” said Lanier Motes, events manager for the Baytowne Wharf Neighborhood Association. “Visitors can book rooms, purchase tickets and browse wine festival merchandise from the website.”

Visitors can explore photos from past festivals and catch up on the latest news. A complete wine list will also be available, as well as a preview of the taster’s guide.

Aside from festival information, the site also hosts a “Fun Stuff” tab. For wine novices, there is Wine Tasting 101, basic tips for maximizing their wine tasting experience. Planning a dinner party? Read “Learn How to Pair Your Wines” to find out what wine best compliments the food being served.

One of the most unique features of the site is the compilation of popular iPhone applications that relate to wine. These apps help pair wine, food or cheese all at the touch of a button. Like the wine tasted at dinner? Use the Wine Snob app to log the brand, vintage, notes and even pictures for future reference like a virtual wine cellar. This application can be very useful on festival day.

The Sandestin Wine Festival’s largest event, the Grand Wine Tasting, takes place Saturday and Sunday April 24 and 25. Purchase tickets online for the Grand Wine Tasting and receive entry to culinary pavilion, a commemorative wine glass, a taster’s guide, more than 600 wine samplings from more than 80 vineyards and retail wine tent discounts.

  • Early bird ticket prices are available while quantities last for $65 a day or $120 for both days.
  • Regular advanced tickets are $80 a day and $120 for both days.
  • Tickets can be bought the day of the event for $90 a day or $130 for both days.

Sandestin Florida Golf Resort offers the added convenience of being steps away or a complimentary tram ride home from the event after a day of wine and festivities. For wine festival accommodation packages call (800) 622-2740 or visit www.sandestin.com.
