This is a tasty platter of shrimp, sausage, corn-on-the-cob and roasted red potatoes.”
“We topped it off with what I call an embarrassment of riches, the ‘Marina Brownie Sundae’ that lived up to its name of decadent. It consisted of ice cream, brownie, chocolate sauce, whipped cream and my hands down favorite, M&Ms,” Mr. Siskin reported in a recent article.
One of the many things that makes the Marina Bar & Grill extra charming – especially during the months of November and December – are the sunsets over the Choctawhatchee Bay, just before the 5 p.m. hour.
To celebrate the end of each day, the staff sounds a canon at sunset. In addition, a family or person is selected each day to ring the Marina’s Sunset Bell.
To be a sunset bell ringer, please call the Marina Bar & Grill at 267-7778. Bell ringers will be selected on a first come first serve basis, with the exception of a birthday or anniversary. Check out the blackboard to see who is the luck individual on any given day.
The Marina Bar & Grill also offers drink specials each afternoon and early evening to toast these magnificent sunsets
Toasts are also made and a complimentary beverage will be awarded to the person who earns the lowest score at all of Sandestin’s golf courses; as well as the winner of the round robin tennis for that day.
At the Marina Bar & Grill you can catch up on the local gossip, hear what kind of fish were caught, watch your favorite sports game, find out who won what, and see the smiles on people of all ages.
