Destin Fishing Tournament Boat

Emerald Coast Blue Marlin Classic

Ranked 5th Richest Tournament in the world by Marlin Magazine, sanctioned by the World Billfish Series and part of the International Game Fish Association Off-shore circuit this event gives serious angling teams their shot at winning a huge pay-off while sponsors. The competing anglers are not the only fishing enthusiasts who will hook a good time during the annual ECBC. Enjoy a day of fun in the sun, an evening that lights up the sky and family activities. The Village of Baytowne Wharf will have a host of kids activities from 6-10 p.m., including kids' crafts, face painting, and balloon sculpting. Live music will be performed. 29th Annual Sandestin Traithlon 29th Annual Sandestin Triathlon

The 29th Sandestin Triathlon will lure more than 700 participants for a half-mile Gulf of Mexico swim, a 20-mile bike along the coast, and a 4-mile run through Sandestin’s beach and bayside community. 8th Annual Beer Festival 8th Annual Baytowne Wharf Beer Festival

For those visitors who miss the cold and ice, the ice skating rink at the Village of Baytowne Wharf is the perfect opportunity to get into the winter spirit. Friday 6 p.m. – Kick-off the holiday season with a family movie under the stars!
Saturday 6-9 p.m. – The fun continues Saturday, with a preview to 12 Nights of Lights, Tree Lighting, and of course, Santa Claus! Welcome Santa to Baytowne and cheer him on as he lights the Village Christmas Tree. Stick around for a preview to our choreographed light show, 12 Nights of Lights, and watch as fireworks light up the sky over the lagoon. Make a lantern for the upcoming Baytowne Lantern Parade as you enjoy a choir singing your holiday favorites! And last, but not least, visit Kris Kringle himself! For the month of December, enjoy a festive light show in the Events Plaza set to your favorite holiday music every Wednesday, Friday and Saturday leading up to Christmas at 6 & 7 p.m. This sparkling event will also be featured during the holiday editions of the Wednesday Night Concert Series at 7 p.m. Admission is free and open to the public. Tee Off for Tots Tee Off for Toys

Where: Raven Golf Club, Baytowne Golf Club and The Links Golf Club
People are asked to donate new, unwrapped toys or gift cards with a value of $15 or more and in exchange guests can play Sandestin's golf courses for just the green and golf car fee ($20). Sandestin will offer golf at all three of its public courses, Raven Golf Club, Baytowne Golf Club and The Links Golf Club. All toys and donations will be given to Harvest House’s “Hope for Holidays” and Children in Crisis programs, both benefiting children and families in need this holiday season. Local residents, guests and visitors are welcome to participate. Tee times are available all day and can be made by calling 850.267.8155.

Baytowne Countdown

12th Annual Mardi Gras Dog Parade
When: February 7, 2016; 2 p.m.
The streets will be filled with costumed dogs and their humans throwing a myriad of throws, beads, and parade favors. Themed convertibles, small floats (pulled by masters), golf carts, bicycles, and decorated wagons will be everywhere and Mardi Gras music will fill the air! The Mardi Gras dog parade is one of the premier canine events on the Emerald Coast with members of the four-pawed community coming far and wide to participate.

13th Annual Fat Tuesday Baytowne Bash Parade
When: February 9, 2016; 5 p.m.
Prepare to let your hair down on what many call the most festive day of the year, Fat Tuesday, the day before Ash Wednesday. “Laissez les bon temps rouler” (let the good times roll) with the 14th annual Fat Tuesday Baytowne Bash Parade rolling through Sandestin. Yell “throw me something mister” as unique and colorful floats, golf carts, and pick-up trucks roll down the streets and marchers dressed up in all their Mardi Gras best shower parade-goers with a barrage of beads, moon pies, and other trinkets. The post-parade celebration continues into the night with street performers, “throws” tossed from balconies on Main St, and parties at various Baytowne establishments.
