Personal & Vacation Time Off

Personal time is offered to full-time employees after a designated period of employment to support unforeseen or non-routine needs by providing flexibility for absences such as health-related appointments or important personal matters.

Vacation time is offered to full-time employees after a designated period of employment to encourage rest, recharge, and personal well-being, while supporting a healthy work/ life balance. As an employee’s length of continuous service with Sandestin increases, the amount of vacation time provided also grows in recognition of their ongoing commitment.

Sandestin observes the following holidays each year and considers them compensable for all full-time year-round employees: New Year's Day, Memorial Day, Fourth of July, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day, and Christmas Day.

Bereavement Leave

Full-time, year-round employees who experience a death in their immediate family are eligible for up to five days of paid leave. In addition, we will grant time off for the loss of a family pet. In this circumstance, time off will be granted, and PTO should be used.

Paid Parental Leave

We prioritize our employees', recognizing the importance of supporting significant life moments. We're dedicated to assisting you throughout the journey of welcoming a new addition to your family. Our paid paternal leave of 4 weeks is available to full-time employees with at least one year of tenure, allowing you to bond with your newborn or newly adopted child without financial strain.

  • Swing on Links Golf Course

    Links and Baytowne $25 per person 
    Raven $40 per person 
     

    Employees utilizing golf facilities must adhere to course rules, golf etiquette, and regulations, including the dress code and the ban of personal coolers. Each employee may invite up to three guests. Employee rounds are subject to availability during non-peak times. Tee times for employees can be booked the day before play after 3:00 PM or on the day of play. Sandestin employees are not required to play with their guests, but they must arrange the tee time and be present at check-in. All golf carts must be off the course by sunset.

    Tennis

    Tennis is complimentary for active employees based on same day reservations and court availability. Pickle Ball is $5 per person per hour and is based on availability of courts.

    Food & Beverage

    At the Marina Bar and Grill, all SDI employees can take advantage of a 25% discount on their meals as well as 10% discount at Fat Tuesdays. There is also a 20% discount at all Golf Course Turns. Ovide Restaurant at Hotel Effie offers 10-15% discounts to all SDI employees depending on day and meal. 

    Please be aware that there are no discounts for alcohol purchases. Furthermore, in accordance with Florida State Law, individuals must be 21 years of age or older to purchase or consume alcohol, and this should only be done while off duty.

    Guest Room Rates

    Employees receive a up to 40% discount off rack rate (no resort fee or cleaning fee) and are now able to book their employees can book their room through Sandestin Reservations or on our website. Restrictions and blackout dates apply.

    Health + Fitness Center

    Become a member of the Fitness Center at Sandestin. Employee Only - $12.50/ per pay period Employee + Spouse - $20/ per pay period Additional family members - $8 per person/per pay period No children under age 16. Children under the age of 18 must be accompanied by an adult. Rates paid through payroll deduction only

  • Couple biking on resort

    Bike Rentals

    Bike rentals are complimentary for employees on an hourly basis during the spring/summer season and for employee and their immediate family members during the off season. Reservations must be made on the same day of use and is subject to availability. Bikes are located by the Marina.

  • Family playing mini putt

    Dunes Putting Course

    Putt Putt course is available on a complimentary basis during normal hours of operations on a space availability basis. This is for employees and their immediate family.

  • Girls kayaking in the bay

    Kayak Rental

    Kayaks are available at the Marina Hut for use in the Bay for employees only, on a complimentary basis. Based on availability for same day use.

  • Full Moon Beach Bonfire

    Bonfires

    Employees receive a 15% discount on Bonfires located at Marina Beach. Employees need to call the Bonfire Booking number (850) 267-7777 to book.

  • Charter Boat Bay Fishing

    Fishing + Pool Access

    All employees may fish from the Choctawhatchee Bay. Pool Access may only be used by members of the Sandestin Owners Club, guests and homeowners.
