Swing with Heart: Coming Together for Our Jamaican Family

In times of need, community isn’t just something we talk about; it’s something we live. This past week, the Sandestin family came together in an extraordinary way at the Swing with Heart Golf Tournament, hosted at Burnt Pine, raising critical funds for our friends and team members impacted by Hurricane Melissa in Jamaica.

Thanks to the generosity of members, associates, staff, and supporters across the resort, the tournament raised $16,000 in direct relief funds. And in an incredible show of commitment to our global family, Sandestin Foundation for Kids (SDFK) will be matching the donation, bringing the total contribution to more than $30,000. Every dollar raised will go straight to families and communities working to rebuild after the devastating storm.

Why This Effort Matters

Sandestin has long been proud to welcome international seasonal workers through our H-2B program, many of whom come from Jamaica. They contribute immensely to our guest experience, our culture, and our day-to-day operations. They are part of the heartbeat of our resort.

When news broke that Hurricane Melissa had caused significant damage across their home communities, the Burnt Pine team knew immediate action was needed. What followed was a heartfelt, collaborative effort that demonstrated the power of unity and compassion.
