What
Official ribbon-cutting for the new $7.5 million, 40,000 square foot Sandestin Welcome Center. Representatives from Sandestin Golf and Beach Resort and more than 100 members of the Walton Chamber are expected to be in attendance. Following the ribbon-cutting on the lower level of the Sandestin Welcome Center, attendees will be provided a brief tour of the facility before accessing The Overlook at Sandestin rooftop terrace for an evening Walton Chamber reception. This event marks the first public event to be held at The Overlook at Sandestin – the newest location on the Emerald Coast for weddings, receptions, parties, private gatherings, and more. While the facility will serve as the main check-in point for guest registration, it is also the base for multiple resort departments under one roof including: accounting, front office, human resources, rental owner relations, reservations, retail, group sales, marketing, and SRE (Sandestin Real Estate). The three-story Sandestin Welcome Center was designed by Piazza Design Architects and features a spacious, two-story lobby area with majestic views of Choctawhatchee Bay and a signature water fountain. Those entering the facility will also notice the iconic Sandestin sand dollar imprinted on the lobby floor, a symbol of our welcoming all to the picturesque Emerald Coast.
