Sandestin Golf and Beach Resort Names Flavia Bonilla Director of Rooms

Miramar Beach, FL (October 7, 2019) – Sandestin Golf and Beach Resort today announced that Flavia Bonilla has joined as Director of Rooms. In her new role, Bonilla will be responsible for strengthening services of the resort’s rooms division, along with leading the related teams, perfecting performance and operations, providing memorable experiences and maintaining service excellence.
“With 20+ years of hospitality experience, Flavia brings an in-depth skill set ideally suited to enhance guest services and the guest experience at Sandestin,” stated Mark Hodgdon, Senior Vice President and General Manager, Sandestin Golf and Beach Resort. “Her proven track record will be an asset as we expand our presence on the Emerald Coast.”
Flavia’s role touches many aspects of operations, including the Rooms Division, Front Office, PBX/Telephone, Guest Service, Transportation, Reservations, Housekeeping, Laundry, Shipping & Receiving and Activities. She will ensure Sandestin’s offerings remain the best in class.
Prior to Sandestin, Bonilla served as Director of Rooms for Omni Atlanta Hotel at CNN Center and Omni Bedford Springs Resort & Spa in Bedford, PA. Additionally, she held the position of Corporate Learning & Development Manager and Corporate Guest Services Manager for Starwood properties in Puerto Rico, Director of Guest Relations for The Ritz Carlton San Juan, Hotel, Spa & Casino and Director of Guest Services for the San Juan Marriott Resort & Stellaris Casino. Bonilla earned a BA in Social Sciences from the University of Puerto Rico and an MBA from Interamerican University. She is a member of the Hospitality Sales & Marketing Association International.
