Robert Lacasse | Complex Managing Director
As the Complex Managing Director at Sandestin Golf and Beach Resort, Robert Lacasse brings a servant leadership philosophy to the team. He believes in inspiring the best in people by removing obstacles and offering freedom within a structured framework to achieve great things. Robert thrives in the "organized chaos" of Sandestin’s dynamic environment, where every day presents new challenges and opportunities to showcase his problem-solving skills.
Outside of work, Robert is an avid outdoorsman with a passion for fishing, boating, and the arts. He is a self-proclaimed artist, expressing his creativity through painting, photography, and sculpting. Additionally, he remains actively involved with professional associations aligned with the hospitality industry, further demonstrating his dedication to both his profession and community.
Dawn Smith - Director of Reservations and Rentals
Dawn Smith serves as the Director of Reservations and Rentals at Sandestin Golf and Beach Resort. She takes a hands-on approach to leadership, working alongside her team and stepping forward to lead when needed. Dawn believes in knowing all aspects of her team's work to provide support wherever necessary, ensuring a collaborative and productive work environment. Her favorite part of her role is the strong sense of community at Sandestin, where she enjoys connecting with the resort’s diverse neighborhoods and community members.
Outside of work, Dawn is a passionate traveler, baker, gardener, and antique enthusiast. She serves as the president of two homeowners' associations and is a board member of five others, demonstrating her commitment to community involvement. Dawn also has a unique hobby of collecting Avocado Green and Carnival Blue Indiana glass and antique glass cake stands, highlighting her love for history and timeless treasures.
